17/03/08 - Lancaster players help Liverpool girls get into the semi - Final
Sisters Laura & Katy Hesketh both played for Liverpool youth on Saturday and helped them get into the Semi - Final against Manchester. The scores of the games were Liverpool 3 Sheffield 3, Liverpool 6 Carlisle 1, Liverpool 5 Manchester 2 and Liverpool 4 Birmingham 3. In the academy age group Katie Hesketh, Sam Edwards and Rachel Murby helped Liverpool get into the semi final against Carlisle. The scores Liverpool 4 Birmingham 1, Liverpool 0 Carlisle 3 and Liverpool 2 Manchester 6.
16/03/08- Carlisle youth miss out on the 2008 English Cup
The youth team was
Dylan Smith, Decland Ellwood, Elliot Traffard, Robert Simpson, Sam Smith, Jordan Rayson, Lawrence Daykin, Stefan Detko, Jake Starkey,Mathew Greive. Lancaster first game was against a strong Dunfermline and Carlisle lost 3-10. Lancaster also lost to City of Birmingham 5-6 but winning one game against Invicta 8-4, was not enough to put them through.

11/03/08 - 2008 Men's National Water Polo League

league fixtures have been
announced and now can be
found on our web site, before
there shown on the NWPL
site. Lancaster will start of their session playing Portobello on Saturday and Manchester on the Sunday at Ponds Forge, Sheffield. Again this year there will be eight weekends, and one new venue Cardiff. When the league splits GB juniors will again be playing the top half of the league and it has be announced that the GB Youth team will be joining and playing the bottom half of the league. 26/02/08 - 2008 European Youth Championships
Ciaran James, Marc Robinson, Matt Little & Dan Barker plus the other GB youth players have a tough draw for the 2008 European Youth Championships. The teams include home team Bulgaria and also includes Spain, Belgium and Moldova. The tournament will be held 16-18 MAY 2008.
10/02/08 - Lancaster qualify for the semi-finals of the British Championships
The Lancaster lads won all three games this weekend. They face hosts Manchester on Saturday 23rd (time to be announced). The games will be held at The Manchester Aquatic Center Manchester will have a big turn out so please come along and support your home team! 2007 National League winners Bristol lost against Rotherham and Manchester. 18/01/08 - Prestigious Valentines International Water Polo Competition.
Briony and Beckie Kershaw have been chosen to play for the GBJ team going to Victoria, British Columbia, Vancouver Island, Canada from 13 - 27 February 2008 to play in the prestigious Valentines International Water Polo Competition.
18/01/008 - 2008 National League AGM
Duncan Holmes & Jeff Parker(Lancaster Water Polo Mangers) both attended the 2008 National League AGM. Duncan collected the Peter Olson memorial trophy on behalf of Scott Carpenter for being the top goal scorer for the 2007 session of division one National League. He scored 109 goals. This is the second consecutive year scott has won this. In 2005 Tom Curwen was the top goal scorer and COlin Burgess has picked it up a couple of times in the past. 10/01/008 - Four More Lancaster players join the GB Squad (Revisited)
Congratulations to Decland Ellwood, Elliot Traffard, Lawrence Daykin and Stefan Detko for getting in the GB youth squad. They went for trials on Sunday 16th December at Walsall and all did well!

05/01/08 - 2008 European Championships qualification tournament
The men's team - GB played the hosts, Croatia on Friday. The GB men's team knew this would be a hard game. GB lost 26 - 4 (4 - 0, 7 - 1, 6 - 0, 5 - 3). On the Saturday they played Montenegro,who were the
impressive winners of the European B competition in Manchester. GB lost
18 - 3 (5 - 0, 7 - 1, 4 - 0, 2 - 2). The final game on Sunday was against Slovenia. GB knew that they could not qualify but gave them a good game. The final score was 11 - 11 ( 4 - 3, 2 - 2, 2 - 4, 3 - 2) Lancaster player Tom scored 2 goals and Scott scored 5. GB Men finished 5th with one point.
The Women's Team - The women lost their first match against Greece, 13 - 5 (3 - 1, 5 - 2, 2 - 1, 3 - 1). On Saturday they played Ukraine. It was a hard game. The first quarter finished with just one goal scored each. All goals were denied in the second quarter and in the third Ukraine turned the game around by scoring two goals to GB's one. By the third quarter the score was 3 - 2. In the last quarter GB showed Ukraine what they can do and the final score finished 3 - 5 to GB. On Sunday GB played Germany. Germany were in control of the game from the start with the final score being 15 - 7 (8 - 0, 3 - 1, 2 - 2, 2 - 4). GB women finished third with three points.
02/01/08 - Tom and Scott off to Croatia to represent GB
Tam Curwen and scott Carpenter have been selected for the Great Britain
Senior team ,to play in the European A Qualification Tournament in Dubrovnik, Croatia
from 4-6 January 2008. GB play against Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. The games takes place in the city’s splendid 2,500-seater ‘Jug’ pool

Alex Rutlidge has been selected for the Great Britain
Senior team to play in the European A Qualification Tournament in Hamburg
from 4-6 January 2008. GB player against Germany, Greece and Ukraine. We will keep updated with both the men and female teams.
